I met Bex and Jakob on the Forada market, opposite the restaurant Can Tixedo between San Rafael and Santa Agnes. You can find them and their amazing fermented food ‘ Los Fermentistas’ there every Saturday ( depending on the weather) from 11- 16 h. They make Kimchi, Sauerkraut, Kombucha and Jun. They sell them on the market and you also have the possibility to taste all the products. They cooperate with different restaurants on the island ( one is the burger restaurant ‘Project Social’ in Santa Eularia) or they organize pop up dinner events.
Bex and Jakob moved from Amsterdam to Ibiza in 2015, where they were living together for 17 years. Bex is originally from the UK and Jakob from Austria. They travelled a lot together before Ibiza became their new home base. It was a great morning, exploring a new market on the island, tasting good and healthy food and having a nice conversation with two hardworking and inspiring souls.
